This is an art piece that depicts a Ghanaian proverb. The setting is a bit contrast to the saying but that is what makes art interesting. In literal translation 'OKUSIE MPUE AWIAH' means the rat does not come out in afternoon, so in a more elaborate way it means one does not come out or go out unless pursued or unless a good or bad thing happen certain persons do not show up to some "locations".With this said in the artwork, a half human is seen with a rat and a balloon. The half human stands for a higher power enabling the rat to be fearless and move of it comfort zone. The balloon stands for the potency of the higher power. Owusu Badu thats me and Fawaz(Jogbeley) collaborated for this work.
